Quanshi Zhang is a tenured associate professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has been selected for the National Overseas High-level Talent Introduction Program and received the ACM China Rising Star Award. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2014 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2014 to 2018. Quanshi has made several innovative achievements with international impact in the field of neural network interpretability. He serves as an action editor for TMLR, an area chair for NeurIPS 2024 (a CCF-A conference), and gave tutorials on interpretability at IJCAI 2020 and IJCAI 2021. He has also served as a session chair for interpretability forums at AAAI 2019, CVPR 2019, and ICML 2021.
