Jidong Zhai is a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University. He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the Director of the Institute of High Performance Computing at Tsinghua's Computer Science Department. His research primarily focuses on parallel computing, programming languages and compilers, and performance evaluation. He serves as the coach for the Tsinghua University student supercomputing team, which has won 15 world championships under his guidance.
